Recently, Calido Living was recognised at the 2026 ASPRIMA-SIMA Awards, which celebrate innovation, sustainability and the residential experience within Spain’s real estate sector. This recognition is now joined by another, this time from the international and more specialised coliving industry.
At Calido, we are driven by a simple idea: creating spaces where everyone can write their own story. This approach to living and the residential experience has once again received recognition, this time at the 2026 Coliving Awards, the leading international awards for the coliving sector, where we have been shortlisted in three categories.
Calido Living was created to address a real need: finding temporary accommodation in Madrid that combines comfort, privacy and community. We offer a flex living model: fully furnished apartments and studios with everything included, designed for stays ranging from a few days to several months. We combine the privacy of your own apartment with the services and exclusive spaces of a hotel.
We are present in four strategic locations in the north of Madrid: Alcobendas, Las Tablas, Valdebebas and Tres Cantos, all just minutes from the city centre, the airport and the main transport links. In each building, residents have access not only to their apartment but also to communal spaces designed to bring people together, including coworking areas, a gym, leisure spaces, terraces and landscaped gardens.
This project, developed by Dazia Capital, combines architectural design, high-quality interiors and a distinctive development vision. It is precisely this work that has led us to compete in three different categories at the 2026 Coliving Awards.
The Coliving Awards are the first awards dedicated entirely to recognising the ideas, projects and people shaping the coliving industry worldwide. Since their launch, the goal has been clear: to showcase the sector’s most innovative proposals, from architecture and interior design to community management, and to establish coliving as a reliable, scalable and forward-looking residential model.
This will be the sixth edition, and it will take place in London on 14 October as part of the 2026 Coliving Conference, the sector’s leading event.
This year, Calido is competing in the following categories as the only Spanish project shortlisted:
Developer of the Year:
In partnership with Dazia Capital, by Calido Living.
Unlike the two categories discussed below, which focus on a specific building, the Developer of the Year award recognises the vital role that developers play in shaping the future of co-living environments. It celebrates excellence in the conception, design and implementation of innovative co-living spaces from visionary architecture to sustainable construction practices honouring those who redefine the boundaries of co-living and create spaces that inspire, connect and enrich the lives of their residents.
Building & Architecture:
Together with Dazia Capital, for Calido Valdebebas.
This category celebrates architects, developers and space designers who push the boundaries of design to create future-ready coliving spaces that balance environmental responsibility, social connectivity and individual wellbeing, from adaptive reuse and modular construction to biophilic design and smart building technologies. From the very first sketch, Calido Valdebebas was conceived to combine design, functionality and wellbeing, with sustainability principles reflected in its BREEAM certification.
Interior & Furniture Design:
Together with Fika Interiors, for Calido Valdebebas and Calido Alcobendas.
Designers competing in this category push the boundaries of innovation in interior design and furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E), integrating modularity, circularity, sociability and personalisation into coliving spaces. At Calido, this translates into accommodation with communal areas that encourage social interaction and the integration of work and personal life. Every detail forms part of an experience designed to push the boundaries of innovation and interior design.
These three nominations are, above all, the result of a collective effort. We would like to thank all the teams, partners and professionals who have made this project possible, with a special mention to Ortiz.Leon Arquitectos for their work and for helping us turn this vision into a real, liveable space.
